Raffel Tower marks Permata Green’s first high-rise residential project, located within the lush setting of Gelugor, Penang. The design approach draws on the principle of “borrowed landscapes”, allowing the surrounding Bukit Gambir hillside to become an integral part of the visual and spatial experience of the development.

The podium-level landscape is carefully composed to extend and frame views towards the natural backdrop, creating a seamless transition between the built environment and its surroundings. Planting, levels, and spatial arrangement are orchestrated to soften the architectural edges while enhancing the sense of greenery throughout the residential spaces.

Communal areas are designed to support both relaxation and interaction, offering residents a series of outdoor environments that feel connected to nature despite the vertical living context. The integration of landscape within the podium creates a calm and immersive setting that elevates everyday living.

Through this approach, Raffel Tower establishes a strong relationship between architecture and its natural context, demonstrating how high-rise living can be enriched by thoughtful landscape design that embraces its surroundings.
