Raffel Park marks Permata Green’s first built project, setting the foundation for the studio’s approach to people-centred and context-responsive landscape design. Located in Bukit Gambir, Gelugor, the 2.4 acre park is conceived as a ‘school within a garden’, where learning and everyday life are seamlessly integrated within a green environment.

The design creates a series of open and shaded spaces that support both recreation and informal education. Pathways, gathering areas, and play spaces are carefully arranged to encourage movement, interaction, and exploration, particularly for children and families within the surrounding community.

Planting is thoughtfully introduced to create a comfortable and immersive setting, enhancing the sense of being within a garden while providing shade and visual interest. The park’s layout promotes a balance between structured use and flexible open space, allowing it to adapt to different activities throughout the day.
