Curtis Cube is an experimental showcase garden developed in collaboration with Sputnik Forest Labs for Royal Floria Putrajaya 2019. Conceived as an avant-garde floating botanical installation, the project draws inspiration from the botanical journal of Charles Curtis, reinterpreting historical plant narratives through a contemporary spatial expression.

The installation features a curated selection of local plant species, arranged within a suspended framework that invites visitors to engage with the garden from multiple perspectives. During the day, the composition presents a light and immersive botanical experience, while at night it transforms into an interactive installation inspired by the art of wayang kulit, casting layered shadows and creating a dynamic visual performance.

Blending heritage references with experimental design, Curtis Cube explores the intersection of landscape, storytelling, and cultural expression. The project was recognised with both the Garden Award and the Garden Creative Award under the Designers Category, celebrating its innovative approach to garden design and interpretation.
